1. Overview
*************************************************************************

This package contains CRYPTO-BOX driver files for different Windows 
operating systems as standalone files.

Supported CRYPTO-BOX types:

a) CRYPTO-BOX SC Rev.1 and Rev.2 
- cbu2_64.sys: Driver for x64 (64Bit) Windows systems
- cbusb2.sys: Driver for x86 (32Bit) Windows systems
- cbusb2_arm64.sys: Driver for Windows 11/10 ARM systems

Hint: If no drivers are installed, device is shown as "CRYPTO-BOX 2 USB" 
      in Windows Device Manager.

b) CRYPTO-BOX XS and Versa Rev.1 and Rev.2
- cbusb_64.sys: Driver for x64 (64Bit) Windows systems
- cbusb.sys: Driver for x86 (32Bit) Windows systems
- cbusb_arm64.sys: Driver for Windows 11/10 ARM systems

Hint: If no drivers are installed, device is shown as "USB cryptoken" in
      Windows Device Manager.

REMARK: 
These driver files are mainly targeted to software developers looking for
CRYPTO-BOX standalone drivers to integrate them into custom setups.
The easiest way to install the CRYPTO-BOX drivers and supplemental files 
is CBUSetup.exe: This setup performs automatic installation of CRYPTO-BOX 
SC/XS/Versa drivers and related components automatically depending from 
the operating system (Windows XP and higher for Intel x64/x86 platforms, or 
Windows 11/10 ARM for ARM64 platforms).

2. Supported Operating Systems

The following operating systems are supported: 

a) CRYPTO-BOX SC Rev.1 and Rev.2

- Windows 11/10 ARM 64Bit (Build 21277 or higher required), see

IMPORTANT NOTES on Windows ARM drivers:

a) To run existing Windows x86/x64 applications which are protected with the 
   CRYPTO-BOX on Windows ARM you will need Windows 11/10 ARM Build 21277 or 
   higher. 
   
b) If you want to use the driver under Parallels Desktop on M1 based Mac 
   computers (Macbook or Mac Mini), you have to make sure to run Parallels 
   Desktop Version 17.1 or higher. Older versions are not supported!

3. Installation Instructions
*************************************************************************

Installation through Windows Device Manager
-------------------------------------------
- Unzip the archive with the drivers
- Press Windows key + X or right-click on the Windows icon
- Select and click on "Device Manager"
- Select the corresponding device from the list - either "USB cryptoken" 
  (for CRYPTO-BOX XS and Versa model) or "CRYPTO-BOX 2 USB" (for CRYPTO-BOX 
  SC model)
- Right click on the device and select "Update Driver Software"
- Select "Browse my computer for drivers"
- Select location of the driver archive you unzipped before, choose 
  corresponding driver subfolder depending on your CRYPTO-BOX model and 
  click "Next"
- Windows will find the driver and install it. Wait until Windows has 
  completed the driver installation and click "Close".
