CRYPTO-BOX Network Server with Multicast Support
23 January 2013One of the new features of the current Protection Kit 5.85 for the CRYPTO-BOX is multicast support in network mode for Windows 7 and higher.
The benefit from this is the improved detection of the CRYPTO-BOX server (CBIOS Server) by the client application when doing automatic search for the server on the local network.
On the client side the multicast-support is available for the automatic protection solution Autocrypt, as well as the static libraries for C++ and C# (CBIOS4NET). No source code changes are required to take full advantage of multicast support, the client application need only be compiled with the new library.
When using AutoCrypt, install the latest Protection Kit 5.85 and protect the application again. Moreover, it is necessary to replace the existing CBIOS Server with the new version. We deliver the server as an easy to use installation program or as a merge module for integration in custom installations.
