Information on Export for MARX® Products

This page contains details on export and resale of the CRYPTO-BOX® product range from MARX®. Please note that we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the content on this page, as the regulations are subject to continuous change and also may depend on the intended use of the product.

1. Commodity Code (HS Code)

HS Code (Customs Tariff Number) for the CRYPTO-BOX:

2. Country of Origin

The country of origin of the CRYPTO-BOX is Germany, European Union. MARX can provide a (Long-term) supplier’s declaration (CCI) for products having preferential origin status for CRYPTO-BOX products which is sufficient in most cases. If needed, MARX can provide a “Certificate of Origin” issued by the Chamber of Commerce in Germany. Please contact us for further details and pricing.

3. Dual-Use Regulations

The CRYPTO-BOX is not subject to the Export List and the Dual Use List in accordance with EU Regulation 2021/821. In Annex I, Part 2 - "INFORMATION SECURITY" section 5A002 "Information security" systems, equipment and components” at “Note 3: Cryptography Note” stays, that 5A002, 5D002.a.1., 5D002.b. and 5D002.c.1. do not control items mentioned in paragraphs a) and b) which is true for the CRYPTO-BOX.

4. US Export Control Classification Number (ECCN)

The CRYPTO-BOX is not an U.S. product because the content of U.S. made technology is below the 25% de-minimis treshold according to § 734.4 EAR (U.S. Export Administration Regulations).
When the CRYPTO-BOX is integrated into products or solutions with U.S. origin, the overall system is generally considered a U.S. product and falls under the EAR. In that case the classification of the CRYPTO-BOX is EAR99. A corresponding classification document from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) can be provided by MARX on request.

Export Restrictions and Embargo Regulations

It is the Resellers/End Users responsibility to ensure that the requirements of all applicable laws, regulations and administrative policies are met. Sales or transfers to entities on the List of Debarred Parties, Denied Persons list and Embargoed Countries are strictly prohibited.
